Is 0 stars an option? My husband and I purchased a voucher for this company through Livingsocial, and have been severely disappointed. Given the abysmal ratings on Yelp, why would anyone purchase a voucher from such a terrible company? Well, first of all, the voucher we purchased was for a company called "Bay Area Green Carpet Cleaning", however, after purchasing the voucher and calling to redeem it, it was revealed that the vouchers was actually for a company called Fresh Service Cleaning.
The phone numbers ended up being the same, Bay Area Green Carpet Cleaning has their own separate website, so this appears to have been deliberate deception. And not even very good deception as the ruse was discovered before we even booked an appointment. I thought about cancelling right then. Having already put the money down for the voucher, we decided to give it a go, and my husband called to schedule an appointment.
From a voice mail, he was directed to the Fresh Service website (different than the website listed on the voucher information) and instructed to send an appointment request online. He submitted the request, but heard nothing back. Seeing the yelp reviews, he called the number listed on the appointment site (a new phone number for the same company) to find out what happened.
He was able to speak to Gaze, the GM, who had the information from the appointment request in her system, but hadn't actually scheduled an appointment. The first question Gaze asked was how much we paid for the voucher (very odd question). When my husband told her we purchased the $49 Livingsocial voucher for an 1000 sq ft 1 story home, she then asked how many rooms we had to clean.
After hearing we had three rooms and two small hallways, she said that the there would be a $50 extra cost on top of the voucher. When my husband questioned her repeatedly regarding not honoring the terms and conditions of the voucher, she insisted that it should have been in the terms and conditions (it was not), and that they couldn't clean it for just the voucher.
After arguing with Gaze, she said she would give us a "discount" of only $25 extra, but that was it. Two days before my appointment, we called back to confirm, but were not able to get through. The voice mail directed us to yet another number to call for her "secretary", who I'm pretty sure doesn't exist. Because we couldn't get a hold of her on the phone, we e-mailed and surprisingly got a response!
But the arrival window she had originally scheduled (8:30-10:30) was now 8:30-11:30. The day of the appointment, the technician, Al, arrived around 10:00, but immediately told us he would not be able to even attempt to clean our condo because the truck mounted system they use has only 100 ft of hose. We live on the first level of a condo building about 150 ft from the street, so he said there was nothing he could do for me.
All things considered, Al was friendly and professional. If only the whole company was like Al. There was no mention of the distance limitation before this point, not in the voucher, on the website, on the phone, or in the email confirmation. Since then, we have been trying to contact Fresh Service through email and phone, and have received no response and there has been no attempt to rectify the situation. We filed a complaint and are currently waiting on Livingsocial to refund the voucher amount. Moral of the story, stay away from Fresh Service Cleaning.

I bought a Fresh Service living social deal for car detailing and it was done this week. The actual car detailing was good. Not excellent, not WOW, but totally fine. The customer service, however, is not good. When I went to book my appointment, I googled the company to find the phone number and found all the Yelp reviews (which I should have read before buying the living social deal!) so I was apprehensive.
I went to their website, and found their phone number, and called it. I got a message telling me in detail, how to book an appointment using the website. On the booking form, it said they are booking 21 days in advance minimum. REALLY? I could go up the street, pay the same amount of money, and get my car detailed tomorrow. Who needs to book that far in advance these days?
Anyway my voucher was valid for more than 21 days (though not much more) so I called the number on the online form and the woman I talked to was very friendly. She said the first available appointment they had was SEVEN weeks out. And she said they would not charge me the $75 fee for using my voucher beyond its expiration date. (amazing that they even have the balls to suggest that) So, I took the appointment.
My window was a Tuesday, between 10.30 am and 1.30 pm. I didn't have anything in writing, and nobody called to confirm as the date got closer. Two days before my appointment, I called the website number and left a message. I also left a message with the lady I'd talked to, just asking someone to call me back to confirm the appointment. Nobody called back, and since I had bought the voucher with my Visa card, I was going to contact Visa and ask them to cancel the transaction and refund my money (which you can do with Visa if the transaction is less than a year old) if nobody had shown up by 1.30 pm on the dot on the Tuesday.
But at 10 am on my scheduled date, I came home to wait for the detailing guy and there was an old beat up van in my driveway. It was the detailing guy. He was early, but he didn't seem to realize that he was early and said he was about to leave since nobody was home when he got there. I told him I'd come home specifically to wait for him and that he could have called me.
He didn't have my number and wasn't going to call me - he was just going to leave. I showed him where the hose was, showed him where the electrical outlet was, and took a photo of his ID before giving him my car key (he had no Fresh service ID or evidence that he worked there). Honestly he did a good job. The car looked great afterwards, and he seemed to take his time and do things properly.
So I gave him a tip because I think he deserved it, and I am giving this service more than 1 star because it is OK and not terrible. But when it comes down to it, I would never recommend this to my friends. I don't know what's behind this company, or where they learned customer service or how on earth they are still in business!.

I DON'T KNOW WHY THIS BUSINESS STILL EXISTS DESPITE OF BAD REVIEWS HERE My first ever bad review and experience! PLEASE DO NOT USE THEIR SERVICES! I should have read the reviews first before I committed to the groupon detailing deal I bought! Guess what!? I have the same story as what the others are saying. I actually thought that reviewers here are spam, , hahaha they are not, coz I'm not!
When you call them, they will never answer the phone. We've been going back and forth with them to schedule and today May 22,2013, they are supposed to come in. So we called, they said, just wait around 230pm-630pm, and we did! We spared our time waiting for these people but they never showed up! So now, we checked out their yelp today, and this is what we saw, just bad reputation.
I wish I have found them out here before! Now we are going to get our money back thru groupon and hopefully they let us back our refund! THEY ARE THE WORST WHEN IT COMES to CUSTOMER SERVICE! again, DO NOT TRY HIRE THEIR SERVICES OR YOU WILL JUST REGRET THIS! I never really give a bad review, but they are that bad that folks like me have to write one so others doNT get fooled by them!

This is the first bad review i write. I try to contact the establishment first to let them know and give them a chance to correct the issue. DO NOT USE! Waste of money! If you have the Groupon, try to return it, trust me. I purchased the groupon for whole house cleaning, $79 for 1500 square feet, no stairs. I made an online appointment two weeks before and did not receive any confirmation.
I called to find out if the appointment was confirmed. they said yes it was and said the driver would call that day to advise as to a shorter time window. the driver never called, I had to call to find out. The stains and dirt did not come out. they do not move any furniture, i had to move my couches out of the way, as they were just going to clean around them.
They do not vacuum first, if there happens to be anything you missed during your vacuuming before, they will go around it and leave it. They do not accept credit cards for additional services (they dont tell you this either). I had to run to the bank for the cash. I paid double the cost of the Groupon for my stairs to be completed and because my house is 100 feet over the limit on Groupon.
Most places charge $1.50 for stairs, they charge $3.00. Overpriced and a rip off. I called to advise them i was unhappy about the quality and would give a bad review and the girl that answered said okay thank you. they also use your water and the power for their truck mounted vacuum kept turning off.

Do Not Use Fresh Service Auto Detail. Should be named "Little Monkeys Auto Detail " No show 1st appointment. When they did it was the W O R S T auto detail I ever paid for. I tipped the guy because he did not steal anything from my garage, but i felt sorry for him working for such a "Rip Off Company". No clay bar. No real auto shampoo. No real wax. If I read their reviews, I would have know better. Stay Away from these people at "Fresh Service Auto Detail".(The Little Monkeys).

REPOSTING WITH NO PROMOTIONAL CONTENT! Do not use this company. Honestly, they do not deserve a star rating! They have issued vouchers with a car detail discount through livingsocial.com and it looks like Groupon as well. I was required to call and request the appointment per voucher instructions. Once a date and time is scheduled, a few days before the actual schedule appointment, they call to cancel and reschedule.
The rescheduled date tends to be after the expiration date of the voucher. The company confirms via phone that there is no concern about expiration date; that they will provide you the service given that they originally canceled your fist appointment. Customer waits at home and they never show. Do not fall for this false promotional vouchers they do not provide the service. Customer service is not their main priority.

Big warning beware of this company.! I bought a "Groupon Deal" in September and scheduled the appointment (after several calls over two weeks with no response) finally in mid November. Several days before my scheduled appointment received a call that there was a conflict and my appointment would need to be cancelled and rescheduled for another time.
Again took several calls over the course of a week to ten days to finally speak to someone, who rescheduled for February 1st between 8:30 and 12:30, took a day off work, and they never showed up. no show, no call, and didn't answer the phone when i called them. Based on the other feedback here on Yelp, this business "Fresh Service" sounds like a scam, so besides posting here, going to also file a complaint with the BBB, very poor service and no respect for their customers. DO NOT USE THEM. APPEARS THEY ARE REDEEMING THEIR CERTIFICATES TO GET PAID AND DO NOT PROVIDE SERVICES.

Would that I could give zero stars. I sent an appointment request via their website on 12/24/12 for an appointment on 1/11/13. I didn't receive any sort of reply from them until Monday, 1/7/13. They told me that they only had two Wednesday appointments available at 5:00pm until the end of January. I needed my carpets cleaned before the end of the month so I agreed to Wednesday the 9th at 5:00pm, despite the fact that it gets dark around then, and that I would have to move my furniture back into my house in the dark.
On Wednesday the 9th, I moved all of my furniture into the backyard early in the day and wait patiently until 5:00pm. 5:30 rolls around and I am starting to worry. At 6:00pm I try calling Gaze, but can only reach a voicemail. I sent her an email and left her a voicemail. Finally at 6:45, I decided to go rent a carpet cleaner, since I already had all of my furniture out of the house, and I needed the carpets cleaned.
I didn't finish until midnight. I received a call from Gaze the next day informing me that I was not in their service area and that I needed to call Groupon for a full refund. I asked her why I didn't receive a call from her earlier explaining that to me before I moved all of my furniture out of my house. She asked "No one called you yesterday?" I said that I didn't receive a single call or email, and she replied "They were supposed to call you." I explained that no one did, again, and she said, "Well I am very sorry about that." At least she apologized, but sorry doesn't change the fact that I spent ALL DAY doing back breaking work because no one could be bothered to call me.
What I want to know is why a company would schedule an appointment in the first place if a client is not in their service area. To be somewhat fair, it did state in the Groupon that there was a limited service area, but I assumed that since it was not brought up when I was scheduling the appointment, it would not be an issue. Never making that mistake again!

I bought a Groupon voucher and made appointment for Oct 17th. Got an email close to that date, that there is a new scheduling system and to do it again. I did reschedule for Nov 2nd, and on Nov 2nd I was told that I have to reschedule. I called Gaze and she said that on the Nov 11 I would have somebody at my house at 4:30 PM. I called at 5 PM and found that they were supposedly calling a wrong number to schedule what had been scheduled already.
They now want me to call Gaze tomorrow and reschedule. Three strikes, should I continue to believe them? Updt Nov 17,2012 Got contacted by Gaze three days after my email on Nov 11th, she said they have been contacting me on a wrong number (not sure why that should happen, it is correct in their registration form, it is also there in the custom appointment notes that I entered and in their confirmation email).
Now it is rescheduled to Dec 2nd, 3:30 PM - three months and counting! Its not enough that you try to call me on wrong number. If there is a change in the appointment on your part or on my part that is the only reason you need to have called me. I have waited three times for your already, the service better be really special.

I should actually be giving this company no stars at all! It is sad to say but this company gave the most terrible service I have ever come across. Like others I had a living social deal where I made an appointment and they were supposed to come clean the carpets in my apartment. When making the appointment I was told that everything was fine and that they would come in the morning of the appointment.
Well the morning rolled around and I received a call at 10am (which was when they were supposed to be here) and they said they were canceling my appointment. Now this normally wouldn't be a big deal, but I was moving out of my apartment that week and for them to cancel the morning of with no prior notification was unacceptable to me. The gentleman that I had talked to also was very short and did not understand why I was upset which made the situation a whole lot worse.
The bottom line is that I will NEVER use this company and I am going to tell all of the people I know to not use them either because their customer service was just out right horrible.

My experience with this business was very disappointing. Terrible internet system, terrible costumer service, and very disrespectful to my time to start. 1) They set up my Amazon voucher status as "Used" and I have never used the voucher; 2) I called them asking to fix the information status and they said that it was not needed and I would be fine setting up my appointment; 3) I set the car detailing appointment through their system as requested (appointment for a WEEK DAY with 21 DAYS IN ADVANCE! with a possible wait of 4 HOURS window to someone to show up!) and they: 3.a) Did not send me an email confirming the appointment, 3.b) I had to call 4 times until I finally talk to someone who could actually access the system - instead of pretending to access it - and confirm the appointment details and send me a confirmation email, 2.c) After 23 days waiting for my appointment day, I waisted a whole Monday afternoon waiting for someone to show up. After the 23 days, nobody came within the 4 hours window of waiting to clean my car, nor even someone called me to cancel, apologize or reschedule.

Lats week, I wrote about botched appointment and mentioned in the last paragraph, that I shall wait for few days to mend their ways and to call me for resetting the appointment. But, they did not feel the responsibility and courtesy to reset the appointment. My recommendation for everyone is not to patronize this business ever, Even refrain from purchasing discount coupons. I think even coupon issuers should thoroughly investigate the business ethics, before issuing coupons to alleviate customers hassle by incorrigible vendors/businesses.

0 stars if I could. AVOID THEM! We made an appointment for a Monday at 8:30am, stating CLEARLY that they were going to clean our living room and family room, confirmed on Friday. Monday @10am, still no sign of them. I call, and they get upset at ME because they website clearly states that there is a "4 hour window" from the appointment time. It does?
Finally some guy shows up at 12pm to clean my car. No, you were supposed to clean my CARPET. I call them back, and they say that a supervisor will call me back. 2 days and numerous calls later, still no supervisor calls. I bought the amazon local voucher (through living social) and we were able to get our money back. Avoid this place like the plague.

Probably fraud-type business. After buying a $79 "deal" for a mobile full service car wash and auto detail (valued at $359) on Amazon Local, I called to make an appointment for the weekend on Friday. The guy offered me two options: 1. I could make an appointment 21 days in advance (because that is company policy). Btw. the Amazon Local deal said "24 hour advance notice, subject to availability." OR 2.
I could get my car washed elsewhere (at my expense) and drop off my car on Sunday. Obviously, when you buy a full service car wash and auto detail, one does not expect to make appointments 3 weeks in advance, nor does one expect to be asked to wash your car elsewhere before getting a car wash. So, basically, the mobile car wash and auto detail I bought, was either ridiculously immobile or did not include a car wash. RIP OFF! Needless to say, I reported to Amazon Local as fraud-type business.
The lady gave me a full refund and laughed with me because this fraud attempt was so outright comical, that, well, we just had to laugh it off. She is going to follow up with the Amazon rep that signed the Amazon Local contract with Fresh Service, Inc. and cancel it. AND THIS IS THEIR RESPONSE TO MY YELP REVIEW. THANKS FOR KEEPING IT CLASSY, ADAM L.! "Hi XXX, Adam L. has sent you a message on Yelp: "you mother fucker! we have this business eversince groupon or living social started. stupid bitch!""

THANKS FOR KEEPING IT CLASSY, ADAM L.! "Hi XXX, Adam L. has sent you a message on Yelp: "you mother fucker! we have this business eversince groupon or living social started. stupid bitch!""

I agree with yelpers below.this place deserves no stars! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! My roommate Kimberly's review is extremely detailed below. I cannot begin to describe the nightmare Green Restoration Carpet Cleaning is and it sucks that they only come up if you search in the Campbell area because they say they clean all over the bay area and people just aren't going to search this hard to find the reviews. I DEFINITELY felt the need to search hard enough to give them a bad review. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!

OMG! PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! They dont' even deserve one star. I just got off the phone with a man named Frank, who was rude, vulgar, and extremely disrespectful! I set up a carpet cleaning appointment back in December and they never showed up. It's March and decided to call them and speak with someone on the phone. Instead, what I got was an irate person who INSISTED they don't do carpet cleaning on the 2nd or 3rd floors because their machines are too heavy.
They only do carpet cleaning on houses, condos, and apartments who have ELEVATORS! Really? Of all the places in the Bay Area, do you think ALL houses have elevators? I asked to escalate this problem to "their" manager, and he refused to give me the name of their manager and told me to go get a refund from Living Social, and let me quote his exact words "we already got your money"! WTF? Did he just say that?
Oh yes he did. So, I'm going to make sure Living Social hears what I have to say about this company and hope they red flag them in their system to make sure they NEVER do business with this company again. Karma is a b*#@h.

I also got the $75 coupon online. I should've read all the reviews first! everything was done in like 1.5 hours which typically takes the carpet cleaner who i use all the time 4 hours to do. they couldn't get a lot of the stains out and my tenant had to move in. so i will have to wait later to hire another carpet cleaner to get the stained out. would never use this company again! they were also quite disorganized. i called to schedule an appt and they didn't even have me in the books! my husband had to call them to rebook us in!

DO NOT USE DO NOT USE DO NOT USE DO NOT USE I Yelp EVERYTHING but got excited by a LivingSocial deal and just bought it. BAD IDEA! I am calling as we speak to have someone RECLEAN my carpets! They did not vacuum AT ALL, and now my carpet is just wet and dirty. At least before it was dry and dirty! The places where dust collects (under my nightstand) are now just as dirty as the high traffic areas as they apparently just wet the dust and leave it there.
There is still dog fur or my floor and it is SOAKING WET. They were done in 15 minutes for 2 bedrooms and a living room. And the truck they showed up in said something like $23 per bedroom! Then how the hell is my $75 cleaning a $537 value!?!?!?!? The kicker for me is when I called to complain, they did offer me a refund saying I would get it through LivingSocial BUT that I couldn't complain or they wouldn't give me back the money.
Instead they told me to tell them I couldn't use it. When I did call LivingSocial, they said that was 100% wrong and offered to let me leave seller feedback. JERKS! UGGGGGHHHH. If you got the LivingSocial $75 deal, call and get your money back and leave negative feedback. Horrible horrible business!

Here's what happened. When the cleaner arrived yesterday, he was more than an hour late for a four-hour window. I had called three times during the window to try to get an ETA, was promised call backs on each call, and received no calls back. During the third call, one of the cleaning partners lied to me that he had made three appointments with me and even claimed that he recorded the call (without my permission).
This was false as we had made only one appointment. Although I was admittedly irate during the third call, I felt badly about it and apologized to the cleaner when he arrived. During the job, he claimed to be able to get rid of carpet stains with a special high-power "green" cleaner. When he finished, he told me that the carpet would dry in 12 hours.
The carpet appeared fresh-looking and so I tipped him $20 for his efforts and to demonstrate my good faith. Now, it is twenty-three (23) hours later and the carpet is not dry. Furthermore, the stains have not been removed as promised. In addition, the carpet smells moldy and worse than before. Finally, the carpet feels rough as if some kind of juice had been spilled on it and dried on the surface. In addition to failing to do the job properly, the cleaner also scuffed up a few of my wall corners with heavy hoses and broke the foot lever on a trash can.
