Area Rug Fringe Cleaning
Although an area rug with fringe is thorougly cleaned on our wash floor or platform, the fringe still needs special attention after the rug is cleaned to remove deep soiling. Once the rug is clean and dry, it is placed on our fringe floor where the fringe is cleaned using our proprietary solution.
Carpet Cleaning By Solar Power

Area Rug Rolling And Wrapping
All cleaned rugs are rolled and wrapped for delivery. Our standard wrap is craft paper but we can also wrap the rug in plastic or burlap for shipping at a nominal charge.
Area Rug Repair
If an area rug requires repair, we consult with our customer as to the options available. We can perform a variety of hand repairs for fine imported area rugs, such as hand serging seen here. We also offer machine binding, as illustrated in this video. We offer a complete line of area rug repair and restoration services which are performed by old world artisans.
Area Rug Cleaning on Platform
Once a rug is vacuumed and checked in, it is either cleaned on our wash floor and hung to dry in our heated dry room, or it is cleaned on our platform. On our platform, the rug is laid flat and shampooed using a commercial rotary scrubber and detergent specially formulated for this purpose.
Area Rug Check In
Once your area rug is removed from our truck, it is laid out and measured using a professional digital laser measuring device. The rug is then vacuumed to remove surface debris. We then take multiple photographs of the rug, including problem areas, which are then archived for long term storage.

Long Island Carpet Cleaners came to my home for a difficult job (dog poop) on a wool carpet. They told me upfront that these stains are extremely difficult to get out, and that the process could actually damage it. They were extremely professional and when the stain did not come out, Dorothy at headquarters had them come back for a 2nd attempt. I would highly recommend this company for any cleaning issues around the home.

Critical: Quality I had a fresh stain on my carpet, and they came to my house in about a day after the incident. When the guy arrived, he told me that my carpet would have to be cleaned at their facility. Several months later, they delivered it to my house and the stain looked equally as bad as before. We have used Long Island Carpet Cleaners to take care of our rugs for over 30 years; they have cleaned and repaired our carpets perfectly, picked them up on time and delivered them on time and responded promptly to any questions we had. We have had furniture cleaned and it took out all the stains and brought the fabric to its original color. We cannot recommend them highly enough.

This company does excellent carpet cleaning and also is forthright in their business dealings. As just one example of their meticulous cleaning practices, they place shields under the wooden furniture legs to prevent them from bleeding onto the carpet. As an example of their honesty, when I told them that they hadn't quoted the carpet shampooing in their cost estimate, they refunded that charge, although they had done this work. All in all I recommend this company for all your carpet cleaning needs.

We have been using Long Island Carpet Cleaners for over 15 years. The staff who take your calls and do the scheduling are polite and accommodating to special needs. The cleaning crew arrive on time and always respectful of the entire home. For quite a few years we have requested that Gus be the lead service man, and LI Carpet never fails. Gus is cordial and efficient. He attends to special stains and advises us on carpet care. He has good rapport with his support team and manages them well.

I have used them several times both for sending out rugs to be cleaned and to have them clean wall to wall carpeting. I love using them. We just had the carpeting done and we got an appointment very quickly. The men who came to do the work were courteous, efficient and quick. Our carpeting was badly stained and almost all of the stains were removed. The two worst ones are much lighter.

It was smooth. They came as planned for pick up, then dropped off in the new apartment. After the cleaning the carpets looked much better, very fresh, clean and fluffy. The new padding we purchased made a big difference and gives the carpets an added "bounce". Very happy about the whole experience and worth the money. Am considering having this company clean some of our furniture.
